In Preschool this week the story has been the Elves and the Shoemaker. What busy  elves hammering nails and making tiny footprints! They even found some footprints on their wellie walk!
Is this some terrifying invaders on the playground?? Oh no it's the year 6's practising their invasion dance, inspired by their castles theme. It was very impressive (and a little scary!).
Barn owls had a wonderful trip last week to Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World. It was a brilliant learning experience for everyone and so much fun!

What a unique and inspirational resource we have with our incredible Edward Burne Jones Pre Raphaelite stained glass windows in our church. Year 6 have been studying the artist during their art lessons.
Some strange goings on in year 5 this week...they have been trying to pick up jelly cubes with chopsticks! This was in fact an excellent science investigation to explore low and high friction surfaces. They discovered that jelly covered in oil is very low friction and tricky to pick up!
The Three Little Pigs have certainly kept our Little Owls in Preschool busy this week!
Our Year 6 artists have been inspired by Henri Matisse this week! Taking inspiration from his famous "drawing with scissors" technique. After painting paper bright colours, scissors were then used to create vibrant paper-cut collages.

A shocking discovery was made in the Barn Owls class this week! When we checked the CCTV we could not believe who had visited the playground!

Train to Become a Teacher with Wilden All Saints CE Primary School

Training to teach with Wilden Primary School, working in partnership with Stourport SCITT : we provide you with a fully rounded and focused Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course, offering you a rich, embellished curriculum which is fully aligned with the ITT Core Curriculum Framework. We keep our cohorts deliberately small in order to provide you with the best of placement and mentor provision, academic research and cutting-edge teaching practises. We are also extremely proud of our trainee wellbeing support. Our focussed and bespoke training environment all aids you to become an outstanding teacher! .

Entry Criteria:

To train to teach in primary and secondary schools in England, you’ll need:

  • GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths (and science if you want to teach primary)
  • a bachelor’s degree in any subject

If you do not have the GCSEs required, we are happy to accept a pass in a GCSE equivalency.

We offer teacher training in both Primary and Secondary phases, with courses beginning at the start of September.
