In Snowy Owls the children enjoy a varied and exciting curriculum in which they learn through play and active learning, inside and outdoors. Each area of learning and development is implemented through planned and purposeful play, and through a mix of adult led and child initiated activities. Early Learning Goals are covered through stories and topic based activities in a cross curricular way.
The environment and activities are planned to develop key learning skills such as listening, speaking, concentration and resilience. The children also develop early communication, literacy and numeracy skills in meaningful contexts. Our engaging and enabling environment encourages children to initiate and organise their own learning. Outdoor learning plays an important part in Snowy Owls learning curriculum, and they enjoy weekly sessions in Forest School.
